My mother gave birth at 38 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I grew up a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению большинства специалистов наиболее оптимальный возраст для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно заранее бить тревогу, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого понятия как наилучший возраст для родов детей. Осложнения могут появляться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все связано с определенными характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина удачно родила в 38, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных рекомендаций и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно сдавать необходимые анализы. А при непосредственном родах не паниковать и довериться акушеру.
