My mom gave birth at 43 with ease. She had no problems during my pregnancy and I developed relatively smoothly as a child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. What's surprising is that I am of the same age. Can I also expect a smooth delivery?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный период для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно сразу волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для родоразрешения детей. Проблемы могут развиваться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в одинаковой степени. Все определяется индивидуальными свойствами организма. Чтобы женщина успешно родила в 43, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных указаний и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
