My mom gave birth at 44 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I developed relatively healthy as a child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am also the same age. Can I expect that childbirth will go smoothly too?

По мнению большинства врачей наиболее удачный возраст для появления ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит сразу волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого термина как наилучший возраст для родоразрешения детей. Проблемы могут развиваться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в одинаковой степени. Все связано с индивидуальными свойствами организма. Чтобы будущая мама успешно родила в 44, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не опасаться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
