My mom gave birth at 48 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I developed into a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению большинства акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный период для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит заранее переживать, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого термина как оптимальный возраст для родов детей. Сложности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в идентичной степени. Все связано с индивидуальными особенностями организма. Чтобы женщина беспроблемно родила в 48, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
