My mom gave birth at 48 years old easily. She didn't have any complications with me, I grew up quite healthy. Recently, I found out that I was pregnant. It's unexpected: I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее лучший возраст для появления малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно заранее беспокоиться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого понятия как наилучший возраст для родов детей. Проблемы могут появляться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все определяется определенными характеристиками организма. Чтобы будущая мама легко родила в 48, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и правильного распорядка дня во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
