My mom gave birth at 50 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I developed relatively smoothly as a child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. What is unexpected: I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее оптимальный период для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит предварительно волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого термина как наилучший возраст для рождения детей. Осложнения могут возникать среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в одинаковой степени. Все связано с имеющимися особенностями организма. Чтобы женщина успешно родила в 50, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных указаний и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
