My mother gave birth at 50 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению большинства врачей наиболее подходящий возраст для рождения малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не рекомендуется заранее беспокоиться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого понятия как идеальный возраст для родоразрешения детей. Трудности могут развиваться среди молодых и в зрелых годах рожениц практически в равной степени. Все связано с определенными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама успешно родила в 50, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных рекомендаций и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не опасаться и довериться акушеру.
