My mom gave birth at 53 years old easily. She never had any problems with me, I grew up quite healthy. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It was unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be problem-free?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее оптимальный возраст для появления малыша – от двадцати до тридцати лет. Однако не желательно предварительно беспокоиться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого термина как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Проблемы могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в идентичной степени. Все связано с индивидуальными характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина успешно родила в 53, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно сдавать необходимые анализы. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
