My mom gave birth at 54 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I developed relatively smoothly as a child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It was unexpected: I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be problem-free?

По мнению многих специалистов наиболее удачный период для появления малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не рекомендуется предварительно беспокоиться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для родов детей. Осложнения могут развиваться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц практически в равной степени. Все обуславливается индивидуальными особенностями организма. Чтобы женщина легко родила в 54, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться акушеру.
