Hello everyone. I gave birth on December 10th, 2023. The perineum is taking a long time to heal. On day three, it seemed like it was healing but smelled really bad. On day four, the episiotomy fell out and the smell went away. Yesterday, I started bleeding. I went to see a surgeon who diagnosed me with omphalitis and umbilical hernia. She said that there's inflammation. She prescribed me a powder of benzathin and Levo-mecol ointment. Now I am very worried. Has anyone had this before? What did they do? Did it go away? How long did they treat it? I'm afraid that infection might get inside. (
