I've already gained about 20 kg during the pregnancy. The whole time doctors were yelling at me, hospitalizing me, putting me on diet/fast days — I did them twice a week, living on apples and eating plain cottage cheese with kefir, but nothing helped. I'm due in about 2 weeks, I feel fine, I didn't have any swelling during the pregnancy. So don't torture yourself: if your body reacts like this and you feel okay, don't pay attention.
They don't even ask my weight? I only weigh myself there for my own sake because I don't have a scale at home? so if that worries you, be prepared for the doctor to not give a damn about your weight?
I've gained +11 kg since conception. I think that's a lot for me, doctors recommend a diet.. But the problem is on my end — I just can't say no to sweets! In 2.5 weeks I've gained almost 3 kg?♂️. I try to hold back but I just can't!
My gyno didn't even weigh me at appointments ? They scolded me at the maternity ward when I was put on bed rest ))) "Cut down your portions," they'd say, "or you'll fatten a 5-kg baby — how will you give birth?!" ?
I gained about 20–25 kg with baby B; overall nothing bothered me, except my ankles ached terribly every night before bed.
I've already gained 20+ kg over this whole time. None of the doctors ever told me I had gained too much or put me on a diet. And my baby is within the normal range. So don't worry.
Because of the swelling I gained 30 kg in my first pregnancy; the ultrasound also said the baby was big, but I gave birth weighing 3300 g. And the gynecologist scolded me only about the water, saying I drink too much.
