Hello everyone. Girls, who has experienced a perineal tear? It's been just over a month since I gave birth, and for the past week, I've noticed a stinging sensation when I urinate, but I'm not exactly sure where it's stinging or why. I'm due for a check-up with the gynecologist soon, but I also want to hear from you. I had dissolvable stitches, and for the first week after delivery, I couldn't sit, but in that regard, I'm doing fine now—I can walk and sit without any issues. It's only when I go to urinate that I feel this. Do you know what it could be?

Hello! Perineal tearing after childbirth is a fairly common occurrence. You may have developed irritations or micro-injuries in that area, which is causing a tingling sensation after using the toilet. It is best to consult a gynecologist for professional advice and examination. The doctor will be able to determine the cause of the discomfort and prescribe the necessary treatment. Do not delay visiting a specialist to avoid complications. Everything will be fine, take care of your health!

I had an episiotomy. It's been over 2 months and it still stings. But one of my stitches came apart after giving birth, I treated it with Levomekol, and now there's a scar.

Julia , Here's what I'm thinking too, maybe the little stitch has come undone. Maybe that's why it stings. During my first childbirth, I also had an episiotomy, but nothing stung, it just healed and that was it.

Julia , "How do I know if the stitch has come undone or not? Should I see a doctor?"

Кристина? , In any case, you need to see a gynecologist for an examination one month after childbirth, and she will check everything then.

There were internal and external tears after childbirth, and they stitched them up with self-absorbing threads, which didn't take hold... 1.5 months of hell, tears, and suffering, going to the bathroom was torture, it stung so badly, it was just awful. I suffered until I went to see a competent gynecologist. She looked in the chair and gasped! The threads had started to rot and an inflammatory process had begun. My muscles just couldn't accept those threads, it didn't work for me. The doctor performed a sanitation of the uterus, removed the partially rotted threads, disinfected everything, and prescribed a 10-day treatment course. Thankfully, everything healed and passed like a terrible nightmare. My advice to you: if you feel discomfort, run and get an ultrasound, let them check how your stitches are doing.

Mary , Did you only feel this when you went to the bathroom, or throughout the day as well? I also think that something might be wrong there, that's why it stings. I'll visit the gynecologist in two days and we'll see what's going on. How long does this process take during the appointment? Since we are breastfeeding, I wonder if I can leave for a long time.

Кристина? , Throughout the day, there were heavy discharges, itching, terrible discomfort, and also an unpleasant contraction of the uterus, especially since I had recently given birth. Additionally, urination was accompanied by severe burning and cutting pain, similar to cystitis. I constantly ran to wash myself to alleviate the suffering. I was also breastfeeding at that time. The process at the doctor's was not long, but it brought me back to normal life.
