Hello everyone! Here's the situation: I went to the first screening at Golentovsky's, and the ultrasound was all good, no pathologies, but I didn't manage to give blood. Although he wrote that I needed to give blood within three days, I somehow forgot how it was done the previous times. I had an appointment with the gynecologist scheduled a week after the ultrasound and thought I would get a referral then and give blood. They told me it was too late by then and gave me a referral to a geneticist. Has anyone had a similar experience? How did the pregnancy go? And how is the baby? I'm really worried now. And is it possible to give blood during the second screening?

Hello! I understand that this might be concerning, but don't worry too much. Fortunately, your ultrasound looks good, and that's already a positive sign. When you visit the geneticist, they can conduct further tests to ensure that everything is fine with your baby. As for the blood test during the second screening, it's best to discuss this with your doctor. They might find a way to conduct the necessary tests at a later stage of pregnancy. The main thing is not to panic in advance; it's better to trust the professionals and follow their recommendations. I wish you a calm pregnancy and good health to you and your baby!

The fact that you did not donate blood does not affect the course of the pregnancy or the baby's health in any way. You simply missed the deadline during which you needed to donate blood; in other words, you did not fully complete the screening and did not receive more accurate results. The deadlines are given for a reason, as the results will be uninformative if done too late or too early. I think, since the ultrasound was okay, you have nothing to worry about, especially an ultrasound by Golentovsky. Just calmly wait for the second screening.
