Good evening, could you please advise… On February 28th, I had my second screening where the sonographer noted low placental placement at 3.9 cm… My doctor prescribed a support bandage and didn’t really say much else… On March 22nd, we bought tickets, wanting to fly away for 6 days. Now they told me to come back for another ultrasound on March 21st, and then the doctor will say whether it's okay to fly or not… Can anyone who has had low placental placement share their experience? What did you do? How did you manage it? And did you fly anywhere?

Good evening! Low placental position can be caused by various reasons, and it is important to monitor its dynamics. Your doctor has scheduled a repeat ultrasound to more accurately assess the condition of the placenta and to make decisions about further actions. To raise the level of placental position, it is important to follow the doctor's recommendations, including wearing a support band and taking necessary medications. It is also recommended to lead a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, moderate physical activity, and avoiding harmful habits. Regarding the trip, it is advised to consult with your doctor after the repeat ultrasound to find out if it is safe for you to fly in your condition. It is important to follow the specialist's recommendations and take care of the health of both yourself and your future baby. I hope everything will be fine for you, and I wish you good luck!

For me personally, the 20-25 week period is very critical; I lost a pregnancy at this stage. Therefore, I would definitely be cautious. If you start bleeding on the road or upon arrival, think about who will help you and how. Consider these aspects before the trip. And of course, see what the doctor says. You cannot "lift" the placenta in any way. It either moves up later in the pregnancy or it doesn't. Caution and vigilance are paramount.

It cannot be lifted by force; it will either rise on its own as the uterus grows, or it will not. Mine did not rise. The further along the term, the higher the risks: bleeding, premature labor, so a protective regime is recommended, quick access to emergency services in case of emergencies, etc.
