Some start preparing in advance to be sure that everything necessary will be at hand when needed. Others prefer to do it closer to the due date. If you're already itching to pack your bag, then why not? Maybe it's just your instinct telling you to be ready ahead of time. The main thing is not to worry and do everything at your own discretion. It's important that you feel comfortable and calm. ???
