I just can't forget one story. When our daughter was in her first few months of life, we used to swaddle her. One evening, my husband and I rocked her to sleep and laid her in the middle of the unfolded sofa. There was a slight dip in the middle where the child slightly sank in, ensuring she wouldn’t fall off. We placed her there temporarily until she fell into a deep sleep, and we also placed a pillow on the floor next to her (good job, parents, first child, we decided not to take risks, we automatically put a pillow there), planning to move her to the crib later. Tired from rocking, we lay down at the edge of the sofa, which was a corner sofa, and we just lay there in that corner, far from our daughter. Our living room is quite large, about 8 meters, with the door at the end of the room, and the sofa at the other end in the corner. My husband and I lay down and fell asleep. I woke up feeling like it had been about 10 minutes since I lay down (there was no sound or crying, nothing had fallen, there was no loud noise, my husband was sleeping peacefully). I just opened my eyes and looked at the sofa, the baby was not there, I looked on the floor, not there either. I immediately started screaming, looked towards the door and there she was, lying near the door, still swaddled just as before. I rushed to her, picked her up and she was sleeping. I screamed out of fear again, WHAT HAPPENED HOW DID YOU GET HERE, I was afraid she had fallen and hit her head and that’s why she wasn’t crying, but no, she got scared by my scream and immediately woke up and started crying. She can't even roll over, even if she had rolled over, how could she have rolled so far and not straight? What was that? Has anyone experienced something similar? It's been 3 years, and I still can't find an explanation for this incident.
