Hello everyone! I'm currently experiencing something in my chest that feels like cats scratching with their claws for a few seconds. It's quite painful... I don't even know how to describe it ? Has anyone experienced this? Who can explain what it is? I'll clarify right away that I have no lactose intolerance or anything similar, and I'm keeping an eye on my chest ?

When the milk comes in, there are these really stabbing pains, and they literally last only a few seconds.

This milk acts like that; I would sometimes cry because of it — it hurt me so much.

As long as there's a lot of milk it'll be like this — you also feel it when the baby latches and starts to suck and suddenly sharp pains begin and the milk just runs like a stream; the baby can't even swallow, drinks in a choking gulp. Until the milk supply decreases over time it won't change and it'll stay that way)

Светлана , Sometimes the baby isn't even nursing and those stabbing sensations come on by themselves ? And I don't have much milk — I'd even say "I'd like more" ???

Виктория , Go see a breast specialist, he will consult you and explain the cause. You're a first-time mom, the mammary glands can stretch like that) but I remember I had the same after giving birth — my breasts hurt, they felt like stabbing pains, and all sorts of things happened at first, but then everything went back to normal.

But I had plenty of milk too) so there was nowhere for it to go, my son hardly nursed in the first months
