Mommies, tell me how your water broke, in what quantity, suddenly or gradually, it would be interesting to read how it happened for others ?

When my husband drove me to the maternity hospital, my doctor sat me on the exam chair for a check, and that's when my waters broke. I only felt water around me and that was it ? there was no pain or anything)) by then I was already pretty dilated and they immediately took me to the delivery ward.

1237 , Woke up in the morning with unpleasant sensations, thought they were practice contractions — they always used to bother me in the mornings. But practice ones usually ended with one long contraction. This time it was shorter, and 10 minutes later another... I timed them, 10 minutes after that a third... but for some reason I kept thinking they were practice ones ? it turns out the instinct for self-preservation switches off during labor, FYI! Then my husband woke up from my moans and I kept convincing him it was the practice ones. I went to take a shower, the interval was already 5 minutes. My husband barely managed to persuade me to call the doctor ??? long story short, if the intervals are regular — go to the maternity hospital, otherwise I spaced out and almost gave birth in the car ???

I had contractions from the evening and suffered all night every 5 minutes. In the morning the doctor broke my waters — they hadn't broken on their own. There was no dilation, then they gave me an epidural; I dilated and gave birth at 14:45.

Naida ❤️ , I think you should wait at least until 41; it's better for labor to start on its own than to be induced, in my opinion, and it's better to wait at home than in the hospital. But it's your choice, of course.

Виктория , My daughter-in-law gave birth in the ambulance without a midwife—there was no one to deliver the baby. The ambulance took a long time to get there, then it was a long trip into town to the hospital, and in the end they arrived holding the baby.

They broke my water. Before this I didn't know whether puncturing it hurts or not. It turns out you don't feel the puncture at all, but the contractions after your waters break — oh, you really feel those ?

My waters broke suddenly early in the morning, I was in shock, of course. In the morning the mucus plug came out and then the waters ? I didn't feel anything except a sort of lightness ? Then contractions gradually started, one after another ?? and I gave birth at 5 PM

Амина , How did you know the mucus plug had come away at that exact moment? People often say they don't even know when it happened ?

I woke up because it was wet, half-asleep I got up and went to shower, washed, went back and lay down, again wet, thought it was discharge but it felt kind of strange, went to shower again angry, showered again and then my waters started breaking, I ran to my husband, woke him, ran around the house packing things that might be needed, and my husband was behind me with a rag ? then we got dressed, ran out and drove to the maternity hospital. And the funniest part is they didn't want to admit me, saying I was only one and a half fingers dilated. I said, are you guys crazy, my waters have broken
