At 6 weeks, feeling like you’re cold all the time can very well be related to pregnancy: hormones are changing, blood pressure often becomes lower, you may feel sleepy and feel chilly even without a cold. But if the cold is constant, it’s worth asking at your next appointment to have a complete blood count, ferritin and TSH checked — that’s how anemia and thyroid issues are usually ruled out. At home, just measure your temperature with an ordinary thermometer. If it’s above 38, you experience severe weakness, lower abdominal pain, or bloody discharge — don’t wait and call 103 or 112.
