My mom gave birth at 39 years old easily. She never had any problems with me, I grew up as a healthy child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm in the same age category as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее подходящий возраст для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не рекомендуется предварительно беспокоиться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для родоразрешения детей. Трудности могут появляться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все определяется индивидуальными свойствами организма. Чтобы женщина удачно родила в 39, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не паниковать и довериться специалисту.
