My mother gave birth at 40 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I grew up quite healthy. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих специалистов наиболее подходящий возраст для появления малыша – от двадцати до тридцати лет. Однако не нужно сразу волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого понятия как наилучший возраст для родов детей. Проблемы могут возникать среди молодых и в зрелых годах рожениц почти в одинаковой степени. Все определяется имеющимися свойствами организма. Чтобы женщина удачно родила в 40, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться акушеру.
