My mother gave birth at 40 years old easily. She never had any difficulties with me, I grew up quite healthy. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее подходящий возраст для появления ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит заранее волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого термина как идеальный возраст для родоразрешения детей. Проблемы могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в идентичной степени. Все обуславливается конкретными свойствами организма. Чтобы будущая мама успешно родила в 40, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не бояться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
