My mom gave birth at 40 with ease. She never had any problems with me growing up, I was a healthy child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. What's unexpected is that I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее оптимальный период для рождения малыша – от двадцати до тридцати лет. Однако не нужно заранее переживать, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого понятия как наилучший возраст для рождения детей. Проблемы могут появляться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц почти в одинаковой степени. Все обуславливается определенными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама удачно родила в 40, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться акушеру.
