My mother gave birth at 42 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that the delivery will be smooth?

По мнению большинства специалистов наиболее подходящий возраст для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно предварительно волноваться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого термина как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Трудности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в одинаковой степени. Все связано с конкретными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама беспроблемно родила в 42, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
