My mother gave birth at 44 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a pretty painless child. Recently, I found out that she's pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее оптимальный возраст для появления ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не рекомендуется сразу бить тревогу, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого термина как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Осложнения могут развиваться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц практически в идентичной степени. Все определяется индивидуальными свойствами организма. Чтобы женщина удачно родила в 44, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
