My mom gave birth at 51 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a pretty healthy child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be problem-free?

По мнению многих специалистов наиболее удачный период для появления ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно сразу переживать, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого понятия как идеальный возраст для рождения детей. Осложнения могут появляться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц практически в равной степени. Все определяется определенными характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина легко родила в 51, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных рекомендаций и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
