My mother gave birth at 52 years old easily. I had no problems with her during my childhood, I grew up a healthy child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. What a surprise: I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

На самом деле не бывает такого термина как оптимальный возраст для рождения детей. Осложнения могут развиваться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц почти в идентичной степени. Все определяется индивидуальными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама удачно родила в 52, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
