The white discharge came out a little bit This is probably the blockage? How long until contractions begin? And do I need to call an ambulance?

The plug is indeed in the form of mucus. It can come out as much as 2 weeks before labor, so no one ever knows when labor will start ?

Call an ambulance if you have contractions or your water breaks As for the mucus plug coming away, it's nothing to worry about

My mucus plug came out completely after my water broke. I gave birth about 4 hours later.

I've had my mucus plug since September 30. The contractions are Braxton Hicks. On October 7 I had an ultrasound; they said I should give birth by the 15th. But for the past two days the baby has been pressing on my perineum and sending shooting pains through my lower back.

White mucus, that's not a plug. A plug looks like beige-pink mucus.

The mucus plug doesn't always come away at the same time as the waters. For me it came away for exactly a week, and only after that did my waters break.
