My mom had me at 19. She never had any complications with me, I grew up quite healthy. A couple of weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth sailing?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее удачный период для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит заранее волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого понятия как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Осложнения могут появляться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц практически в равной степени. Все связано с имеющимися характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина успешно родила в 19, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
