My mom gave birth at 38 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a pretty healthy child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be problem-free?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее подходящий возраст для появления малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно предварительно волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого термина как идеальный возраст для рождения детей. Осложнения могут возникать среди молодых и в зрелых годах рожениц почти в идентичной степени. Все определяется конкретными характеристиками организма. Чтобы будущая мама удачно родила в 38, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться акушеру.
