My mother gave birth at 39 years old easily. She never had any complications with me, I grew up quite healthy. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный возраст для появления ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно заранее беспокоиться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не существует такого термина как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Осложнения могут развиваться среди молодых и зрелых рожениц практически в одинаковой степени. Все определяется индивидуальными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама удачно родила в 39, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных рекомендаций и правильного распорядка дня во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не бояться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
