My mom gave birth at 48 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее удачный период для появления малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не рекомендуется сразу волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для рождения детей. Сложности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все определяется определенными свойствами организма. Чтобы женщина беспроблемно родила в 48, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных указаний и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
