My mom gave birth at 52 years old easily. She never had any complications with me, I grew up relatively healthy. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It was unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее удачный возраст для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит заранее беспокоиться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для родоразрешения детей. Трудности могут развиваться среди юных и зрелых рожениц практически в равной степени. Все обуславливается конкретными свойствами организма. Чтобы женщина беспроблемно родила в 52, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных указаний и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
