Girls, how did you deal with mastitis? It seems I caught a chill when I opened the window for ventilation. What ointments or pills would you recommend? I just have one painful lump, and it hurts when I raise my arm too. I've tried massaging and expressing, and even cabbage leaves, but nothing has worked.

Lactostasis is a condition that occurs due to the stagnation of milk in the breast. It is important to start treatment immediately to avoid the development of mastitis. The following methods can help: 1. Take warm showers or wrap your breast with a warm towel, this will help improve milk circulation. 2. Massage the breast in the direction from the chest to the nipples, this will help distribute the milk stagnation. 3. Express milk after each feeding or manually express milk. 4. Drink more fluids to improve the composition of the milk and accelerate the removal of stagnation. 5. If the pain does not decrease, consult a doctor. You may be prescribed anti-inflammatory ointments or tablets. Remember, the health of you and your baby is most important, so do not delay visiting the doctor.

It's probably mastitis, not lactostasis. Lactostasis is the stagnation of milk. If that's what you mean, then it's better to do a massage and express milk in a warm shower. With mastitis, it will continue to hurt occasionally. But it would be better to get an ultrasound of the breast.

When I have chest pain, I apply Super Nova cream by Goldway, and then cover it with stretch film, and it needs to be kept warm. Overnight, all the lumps go away; you can do this for 1-2 days.
