Good day, girls! My baby is 9 days old, and we are breastfeeding. When I take her off the breast, she doesn't spit up and sometimes has hiccups for about 2-3 minutes. Is this normal????

My son is almost 4 months old, and he can still hiccup after feeding. I think it's normal.

Hiccups seem to be normal at your age, and as mentioned above, when I change clothes or am dressed very lightly, hiccups start.

We are almost 6 years old and we often hiccup after eating, everything is normal. Since birth, we freeze in a second without socks and immediately start hiccuping, so now our feet are always warm.

Most likely some air got in while feeding. It's nothing serious, you can carry the baby upright for a while or gently rock on a ball, the excess air will come out just fine.

Good day! Yes, such behavior in infants is quite common and can be perfectly normal. Hiccupping after feeding can be related to the child swallowing a bit of air during feeding, which causes discomfort and hiccups. It can also be related to incomplete air expulsion from the stomach after feeding. If the child is not crying and does not show other signs of discomfort, there is likely no reason for concern. However, if such behavior occurs frequently and causes worry, it is best to consult a doctor.
