On pacifiers. The official recommendation from WHO states: do not give pacifiers to infants who are breastfed. A large meta-analysis of 31 studies conducted in different years and countries around the world led to the conclusion that the risk of weaning before the child is 6 months old is twice as high if the child receives a pacifier.
